From May 20–21, the PM Cancer Care Network team visited the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (SCA), with engagements at Allan Blair Cancer Centre (ABCC) in Regina and Saskatoon Cancer Centre. The visit included tours of each centre, in-person and virtual meetings, and productive conversations with staff and leadership across both sites.

SCA joined the PM Cancer Care Network in January 2025 as its second provincial cancer program, and the first in Western Canada. During the visit, teams identified areas of potential collaboration such as Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), autologous stem cell transplant, chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy (CAR-T), the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Program, clinical trials, and more.
The SCA team also shared highlights of the Community Oncology Program of Saskatchewan (COPS) and innovations in virtual care, which are key strengths that align with the Network’s broader efforts to improve access to high-quality cancer services, particularly for rural and remote communities.
This growing partnership is rooted in shared priorities, and this visit marks an important milestone in our collaboration. As part of the PM Cancer Care Network, SCA is contributing to a national effort to advance cancer care through streamlined access to program development support, shared innovations, insights, best practices, and education.
