The Newfoundland & Labrador Health Services (NLHS) Provincial Cancer Care Program is responsible for providing services to cancer patients throughout the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Our services include: radiation therapy, systemic therapy (chemotherapy), cancer screening programs (breast, colon, cervical, lung as a pilot), tele-oncology, clinical trials, consultative services, and supportive care services such as nursing, nutrition, pharmacy and social work.
The Cancer Care Program works collaboratively with clinical programs and departments in diagnostic imaging, medicine (including hematology), surgery, and children’s & women’s health to establish and implement standards of practice and collaborates with all regional health zones to deliver chemotherapy, follow-up care, and provide oversight for supportive services at multiple locations throughout the province.
