Horizon Health Network has formally joined the Princess Margaret (PM) Cancer Care Network, becoming the ninth cancer program in Canada to partner with the Network, and the first from the Maritime provinces, marking a significant milestone in strengthening cancer care expertise, research, and education across New Brunswick and beyond.
The PM Cancer Care Network brings together local, regional, and national partners with a shared commitment to improving access to cancer care closer to home for patients and their caregivers. Through collaboration, the Network strengthens care pathways, expands access to clinical trials, and enhances education to support more timely, coordinated cancer care across partner sites.
“This partnership reflects the growing strength of a pan-Canadian approach to cancer care,” said Dr. Keith Stewart, Vice President, Cancer and Laboratory Medicine at University Health Network (UHN), and Director of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. “By expanding our Network to include leading out-of-province partners such as Horizon Health Network, we are advancing coordinated care across Canada – ensuring more patients can benefit from world-class cancer care closer to where they live.”
